What you went for Thai in Midtown and didn't go to Pongsri Thai on 48th and 8th?

Now I'm disappointed for you. To make up for this, I think you should treat yourself to the Soup Nazi on 55th next week.

Logistically Pongsri was a little tougher to get to from where I work.

The nazi charges an arm and a leg for his soup, doesn't he?

Yes, for soup it is expensive. But, he nees to support his luxurious decor. I stopped going because hated the wait.

Cosi - Now that's a lunch! There is no greater NY experience than a Cosi sandwich while sitting in Bryant Park on a spring day.

Yep, Claudia, we can get lunch in a furniture store here. ABC is a very good quality furniture store. I can't vouch for the food.

The other furniture store I mentioned (next door to my office - can't remember the name) has pretty good food - a little expensive though - and yes, you can sit and eat at their dining room tables! Silly, eh? I'm not sure why they do this...guaranteed steady income, I guess. Plus, if you see a few people in a store you might be more likely to go in than if it's empty. Or, maybe it seems more "homey" if they serve food...it makes you think of home and all the furniture you need. Who knows?

Tomorrow I shall bring my own sandwich -- provolone and pepperoni on rye toast with olive oil and fresh basil.

Don't knock it till you've tried it.

If you're in Key Largo, it's hard to beat a fish sandwich from Mrs. Mac's.

Furniture Store Dining Review:
ABC is nice but expensive

Ikea is wonderful. The Swedish meatball plate is really very good and worth the trip (to Elizabeth New Jersay, for people in Manhattan, on the free bus). AND if you go to Sweden--this meal is available everywhere, nice little meatballs + new potatoes + lingonberries, + optional great coffee & great apple cake.
