What restaurants do I need reservations for in N.O.?
In searching the archives, I see a lot of New Orleans restaurants require reservations, which often need to be booked months ahead of time. Since we will be getting there on Saturday, I am worried that I have not started planning early enough.
Where should I start calling?
Here's the list of places we're considering. Which will be difficult to get into?
Bayona
Bella Luna
Peristyle
Irene?s
Galatoires
NOLA
Clancy's
Anywhere else I should call? Commander's is already booked for their weekend brunch.
Thanks!

This Saturday!?!?
In all likelihood, Bayona, Peristyle and NOLA are already booked. You can always call at 4pm on the day you wish to dine, however, to see if they have cancellations.
Irene's and Galatoire's don't take reservations (Irene's never does, Galatoire's not in the main dining room) so you can stand in line at those places.
Bella Luna will be available, I'd guess. No idea about Clancy's.

Personally, I would not recommend Bella Luna. Ate there after trying to get a reservation at Bayona and Peristyle. I read that it is a romantic restaurant, but that's not what we got. We were seated in a very large, uninspiring room. It was different from the other section of the restaurant so maybe that part if better. As for the food, it was forgettable. Not bad, but not a place I would go back... especially in New Orleans where there are so many great places to eat.

Thanks for the advice on Bella Luna. I was interested in it because of the romance factor as well. Good to know. I got Peristyle for Tuesday night, so I guess I am doing well after all. Now I just need to decide where to go on Saturday and Sunday. So many choices, such little time.
Which two of the following would you pick?
Mr. B?s Bistro
NOLA
GW Fins
Galatoires
Irene?s
Jacques-Imo's Café

Great news on Bayona and Peristyle! Visiting early in the week definitely helps secure reservations at some of the more popular restaurants.
Of the last list you provided, I like GW Fins and Galatoires.

The only one on that list that I have eaten at is Jaque'imos which I enjoyed very much. It's lively with original dishes and is popular with both, I think, tourists and locals. I will definitely be eating there when I return next year.
The others on the list are all, I think, fine dining. Since you already have Bayona and Peristyle, you may want something more casual. If so, I would pick Jaque'Imos.
