HappyTrvlr, I have experienced that same wonderful Vermont feeling so many times when crossing the state line. Not just happy but also stressless and relaxed. Sometimes I feel like I'm home b/c I love it there so much.

Isn't that exactly what the destination forums are for?

Obviously the moderators agree with you janisj.

Same here. NYC is addictive: the more I go there the more I want to be back. Nothing in the world like NYC for me, so we keep going every month taking advantage of the relatively short drive from Boston.

And I do love Paris with all my heart and soul😊.

Acadia National Park and Coastal Maine are magical, but not in November. Another place we frequent - twice a year every year. All my troubles magically go away in Acadia.

If I were helping someone plan a trip for November it would be a different list of considerations than seeking a "magic" place.

I'd be looking instead for travel arrangements (where are they starting out), what kind of experience they seek (urban, city, countryside, nature, etc.), and what weather they prefer (beach, mountain, etc.).

I named Vermont as a magic place for me, which it is but I wouldn't send someone there in November
