What is your "magic" place in the USA?

I enjoyed reading this thread but most places mentioned were out of the USA.

I am helping a plan a trip for about a week in November. Trying to come with options.

I thought some might have some interesting ideas.

Thanks ahead.

the beautiful state of Vermont (but that's not where I'd pick for a November trip)

"Magic" could be seasonally dependent, so I think November will affect a lot of answers, but I like Hawaii in November.

I really liked Yellowstone, but in November I would want to revisit Yosemite and the surrounding Parks or the Utah Parks.

It's too early for safe ice fishing or I would recommend my home state of Minnesota......

Key West. I just find it relaxing and laid back.

Sanibel Island would be pleasant in Nov. Very laid back - you can play tennis, golf, ride bikes but walking the beach is IMO the best activity!

New Orleans was a treat one November.

I romanticize Alaska but I wouldn't want to visit in November. Watching orcas dive in unison was magical.

Yup, Sanibel island.

Hawaii's an excellent answer. I was only thinking continental. Doesn't get much more magical than the islands in my book!

Big Island of Hawaii.

I'd have to agree that Hawaii is pretty magical. A close second is Western NY. In February. You'd be wishing you knew how to perform magic so you could make yourself disappear.

That's Montana in November and April. It's the worst.

Vermont. As soon as I cross the state line into VT, I feel so happy!
And also, downtown Chicago and NYC. I lived in both and love being back, walking by where we lived, eating at our favorite places. Can’t get enough of either.
So, a combination of urban and then quasi-urban in Burlington and countryside and small villages. Yes, we have had a few Bernie sightings too.

HappyTrvlr, I was going to say Chicago too although tropical climate locations might be better. Downtown Chicago is very magical with Christmas decorations (which would be up in November) as long as one is dressed appropriately and like to walk. I went to NYC the end of November before and that was pure magic. So pretty.

A friend goes to Anna Maria Island in Florida in November and to her family it is magic. I've never been to Hawaii but I can only imagine how magical that would be.

Quite a few posters say Hawaii, where I live and I agree. But my magical place is the Central California coast, Monterey, Pacific Grove, Carmel and Big Sur. Many islanders consider Las Vegas, they call it the 9th island.

Kauai.

There are many beautiful places in the US, but for magic I have to say it's still NYC. I arrive and it's like getting a huge shot of adrenalin. I'm instantly energized. I could never be bored in NYC.
