What is the most economical way to get to Boca Raton from Fort Lauderdale without renting a car?

There must be some type of car service that will take you there, drop you off and pick you up at a certain time? We are looking to go to the Town Center mall, PF Changs and the Boca Raton resort.

I don't know the answer but you should know the Boca Raton Resort (assume you mean the resort and club) is not walkable from the Town Center and doesn't welcome people who aren't guests or members of the club.

PF Changs is also not that close to the area of the Town Center where the shops are. You really need to rent a car OR hire a limo and driver. Being dropped off is not going to work.

Really? I was told by the hotel concierge at the Marriott that the Town Center mall is a mile from PF Changs and 10 miles from the Boca Raton Resort and Spa. Both PF Changs and the resort should only be a quick taxi ride from the town center, right? I know I couldn't walk it but a quick $10-$15 taxi ride to both is doable. Please tell me if I was misinformed.

That information is correct. I said you can't walk. I don't know how you'd get from Ft. Lauderdale to Boca. Perhaps the concierge you spoke with can arrange a car. Taxis don't "cruise" in Florida. You'd have to phone each time. So you're talking about a taxi from FLL to Boca and then 2 more taxis. Did you register about the Boca Resort not allowing non-members or are you visiting friends?

Ok, we would be responsible for arranging taxis which I would expect. I woudn't expect them to wait for me at the mall. The concierge can set it up I just wanted to see if I was getting the best advice. I know they have incentives with offering certain companies. I am really just looking for the best (economical and safe) way to get from Ft Lauderdale to Boca Raton. I can handle the taxi rides while in Boca. Thanks!!!

You can rent a car for about $30 a day in Florida.

Or you can take taxis to all these places if you have plenty of time to call and wait to be picked up. I'd suggest you'll spend about $200 for the four rides (assuming you're going back to Ft. Lauderdale. Otherwise your hotel should be able to arrange a private car and driver -- also probably around $200 for the day if you aren't taking up the evening as well.

Is there a reason you want to go to Boca? If not, personally I think FLL has just as much if not more to offer.

The PF Changs in N. Miami Beach (Aventura) is much closer.

Thankyou. We will reconsider Aventura if it is that much closer. Is PF Changs close to the mall in Aventura?

Aventura Mall is very close to PF Changs. Within a mile or two.

If you have the time and you haven't been, I highly suggest the Shops At Bal Harbour.

www.BalHarbourShops.com

It is the most lux mall in the US.

Located several miles south of Aventura around 96th and Collins Avenue.
