What Hawaiian Island is a good place to go for a honeymoon

I have gotten a lot of different feedback from everyone and I am not sure where to go on my honeymoon. We are looking for a nice relaxing trip. Can you tell me what is the best place to go in Hawaii?

Good grief, you must be new to this board. When you ask a question, you will need to give specifics about what your interests are, how much you have to spend, time allowed for the trip, etc. Open ended questions like the one above will get you impaled on the walls of Fodor's.com. Best list this info...quickly.

We went to Kauai and Maui on our honeymoon, and both were wonderful. I think that these are the 2 most recommended for honeymoons on this board. I'd pick one if you have a week, both if you have two.

If you are lookig for "nice and relaxing" I'd say Kauai rather than Maui. It was my experience that Maui catered more to an active, "party" crowd. Kauai, except for some traffic problems, was very relaxing.

Ok, I am going for 7 days in May, My travel agent is trying to talk me into staying at Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel in Ohau. We are not partiers, just looking for a relaxing time. I am open to spending what I have to in order to have a wonderful time.

First of all, best wishes on your upcoming wedding.

Oahu would be my last pick for a honeymoon location, but that is just my opinion.

I went to Kauai last June for my honeymoon and loved it. If you like to relax, hike, snorkle, swin, golf, you may enjoy it as well. If you want Four Seasons accomodations, you may not like Kauai. However, the Princeville Hotel is quite nice.

Tell us more about things that you like to do.

We like to swim, relax, hike, snorkel, we like to be lazy when we are on vacation.

Skip Oahu, especially if you want a relaxed atmosphere. Oahu attracts more families and partiers.
