crefloors - how very naughty of you to bring that up! hee hee hee...

Nope, not a great cook but I am pretty good at baking - cookies, breads, desserts. But I have learned that one does not insult The Royal Highnesses of the Kitchens by *gasp* offering another dish!

Seems like another attempt to hijack this travel board & turn in into the Betty Crocker Board.

We're in the lounge, right?
(looking around...yeah, this is the lounge, not one of the many travel boards)
Are you lost, rb?
or is it that you just can't cook?
or that no one ever asked you to bring anything to a holiday?
Or are you the one they asked to please NOT bring anything?

Now that I'm sure I'm in the right place,
the item I'm always ASKED and EXPECTED to bring are the plates for the cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving.
I have two that I bought on my trip to Israel that are just perfect for the good old canned jellied type, which is what our family prefers.
Sister who hosts just asks everyone what they would LIKE to bring, and suggests a food category such as veggies, breads, desserts, if the person doesn't have something in mind.
There's always too much food anyway, so a couple years I just brought the plates, and gave the hostess $$ for the cost of the turkey which she always makes.
