Were you quoted in a recent Fodor's guide?
Congratulations to all of the Fodorites who were quoted in the ten new Fodor's Gold Guides that hit store shelves in October. Several posters are regulars on the U.S. Board. US titles released include Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington D.C., and Walt Disney World.

I posted this earlier this month but I realize that many may not have seen it or thought it was an ad for a book.

Future improvements to the forums will make announcements like these much easier to make!

Looking at those lists make me nostalgic as they almost always contain names of people who no longer post that I miss. I also notice sometimes that some of the most prolific posters who seem to know everything never make it in the books.

I was quoted in the San Francisco book. I contacted Fodors (following the directions) to request my guidebook. How long does it take to receive it?

I didn't even know I had been quoted in an earlier (this year) guide until I was in a book store killing some time and picked up the book on Santa Fe. Lo and behold -- there I was. And it wasn't even one of my pithier responses. Drat. I need to work on my pithiness.

Katie, I found my contribution to the LA 2008 book at Barnes & Noble in downtown
Seattle, and I've put in my request for the Hawaii 2008 book, which appears to be the best guidebook for that state. HTTY
