Thank you cpg - I am thrilled for the time you will have with your ds! My stepson was going to go to school there but has taken it off the list for a variety of reasons - mainly because he had to have his housing non-refundable deposit in by mid march and he has not decided yet.

The old Perry's bring back a lot of memories for me.

Hey CP !
We've been really busy with my FIL as he hasn't been doing well.
The four of us still need to do dinner.

I finally settled on the Orchard Garden at Bush and Grant. The rate kept dropping until a superior double was $111 (orig $179). In October, we parked in a garage on Stockton and Sutter. Should I use that or is there an even closer one. The rates weren't too bad.

Centralparkgirl-I saw this a little late, but I stayed at the Argonaut on Fisherman's Wharf. It was a great place to stay and convenient to the Muni line and also a cable car. I found there to be no place in San Francisco that did not have an incredible view, but loved the Wharf area because it was nice getting up early and walking across the street and sitting by the water. The Ferry Building was nice and I think that your son would enjoy it. I don't see expedia on here often, but I usually search them first to get an idea.

Ahhhhh...stumbled by it many a-times.
Good to know.
Now what are names of the little coffee shop/juice bar/cafeteria type shops like the one that is located right next to Galleria Park?
Can't recall the darn name and I think there are a few throughout SF.

Kal, it re-opened as Perry's fairly recently. It was reviewed in the Chron:

REGARDING HOTEL 480.
I knew there must be a catch if a hotel in such a great location is listed as inexpensive. Today it's covered with scaffolding, closed for renovation, and doesn't look like it will open any time soon.
Just a heads up for anybody making reservations now.
