based on the first post, it seemed all you were doing was rubbing it in that you will be there...

What are you looking to do in SD? Beach, zoo, museums, etc?

I would recommend the Zoo, Cabrillo Monument in Point Loma, driving down the coast from La Jolla or Del Mar towards San Diego

You will be coming to America's finest city. There is so much to do you won't know where to start. Balboa Park has many museums, the zoo, Old Globe Theater, and free organ music from 2:00 - 3:00 on Sundays. It's a wonderful place. The beach is always loads of fun. SeaWorld, sailing out of Mission Bay. The first Mission was founded in San Diego. La Jolla Cove is a great place for beach fun. America's Lego Land is located in Carlsbad just up the coast about 20 miles.

The Laguna Mountains are only one hour away. Great little places in Pine Valley, Julian, and Ramona. Antiques shops everywhere. Julian Apple Pie is well known world wide.

Of course there is the harbor, Seaport Port Village.... etc. Come enjoy, and have fun.

Julian is a really cute little town: http://www.san-diego-hotels-resorts....ide/julian.php
to me though it would be best left for another trip as it is not really San Diego and I think if you are from other areas where they have seasons you might be disappointed.

I have a recommendation for you for delicious breakfasts that are also pretty healthy. The restaurant is called "The Mission" and there are several locations in San Diego (also one called the Coffee Cup in La Jolla.

For the best cheap Mexican food around eat at Santana's. They are fast becoming a local chain although that is fairly recent. It used to just be a handful of locations in Point Loma. Not a sit down place, but delicious. Most locals will tell you they have the best California burritos.

Something really fun to do is to Kayak in San Diego, particuarily in La Jolla http://www.san-diego-hotels-resorts....iego-kayak.php
