week end trip from Minneapolis

I shall be visiting my son in a few weeks in Burnsville and would like to take weekend of the 14th&15th to travel somewhere. I am more interested in outdoor scenic places as opposed to shopping excursions. Walking easy trails ok but I've never been athletic and at 62 I'm not about to hike any mtns.(or big hills!) Any suggestions appreciated. I've thought going to Duluth and environs. Thanks for any responses.

The Cannon Valley Trail is nice for walking or biking. Lanesboro is a nice area too! Walking the Lakes is beautiful in Minneapolis, Lake Calhoun, Harriet, Lake of the Isles are all very lovely! The Luce Line Trail is a beautiful walk as well!

I posted a reply to this as did several others and it has disappeared. Don't know why. We gave you ideas if you went to Duluth and the North Shore.
