My wife and I would like to drive the Oregon coast from the California border to the washington border and then move inland to the Rogue Valley wine country in late April. Can anyone advise as to the weather on the coast and inland at that time of year?

There is a very high chance that it will be rainy during the entire month of April along the Oregon/Washington coast. It is still absolutely beautiful- just pack a raincoat!

Yep, it will be rainy and cool, more so on the coast. And it's always windy at the coast. Buy a kite and take advantage of it!

The weather in Southern Oregon inland will be fine by late April. Where are you starting from?
Doing the coast N to S would put you at just the right spot to come in on 199,
stopping at Bridgeview and Foris over in Cave Junction, then on to GP and the top of the Applegate Valley.

You may have all types of weather. I've learned living here in Oregon, when you least expect it, you'll receive a beautiful day on the coast! The weather will be cool, wear layers, and be prepared for rain, clouds, wind, and also the chance of sun.

It never rains for an entire month in Oregon although it might sometimes seem like it is!

I love the Oregon Coast in April. There are many hotels that offer 3 nights for the price of two, especially during the week.

From my experience:
cool, rain, damp, breaks of sun, never really that warm, maybe very wet, maybe not.

Even the weather man cannot accurately figure out what the weather will be in the same week..Just be prepared for it all.
