Weather now?
Just wondering what the weather is like now on Maui and also Kauai. When you look at the weather forecasts they say rain everyday. We are going to Maui on April 2nd and on to Kauai on April 9th. Just worried about the weather.

We arrived on Maui on March 17th, unfortunately had to return on the 18th, due to my father-in-law's death. The weather forecast rain, but when we arrived in the Lahina area the weather was perfect about 86 and light winds, when we left the next a.m. to return home the weather was absolutely beautiful. I think the weather report is for the mountain areas, as the Lahina, Kahana are, etc. is very much needing rain. I think when you arrive on Maui you will find perfect weather. Enjoy your stay...I can't wait to return.

All I can tell you is that today dawned bright and beautiful on Kaua`i -- blue skies, big puffy white clouds drifting across the sky, and bright sunshine all day.
I don't have a crystal ball, so cannot predict what the weather will be like when you're here...we're just celebrating today's wonderful weather! 8-)

Mitch, when you look at the forecast it pretty much always shows rain. That is because it will usually rain 10-15 minutes even on the clearest of days at this time of year. BUT, the Doppler radar has shown Kauai totally clear since Sunday morning and Maui since Sunday night. I don't think you need to be concerned because of what went on the last couple of weeks.

Just got back from the wettest Hawaiian vacation ever...and you know what? We had a blast!!!
Just before we left, the forecast showed sunny skies, warm temps and just a 10% chance of precip and by the time we got there the weather had turned completely.
As Willie Nelson would say "You just never know..."
Try not to worry about the weather, enjoy each days as it comes...as each day in Hawaii is such a gift.
