In Rochester/Greece... Enchiladas cooks and ready to go... Accidentally set off the smoke alarm at the hotel... But they were very nice about it....

Even a chance of being on time... Well fashionably late...

See YouTube for a look at the dish. Yum yum.

Yes, we had such a great time. We got in the buffalo botanical gardens today. Also made it to Niagara falls yesterday... We did the maid of the mist. We got soaked!!! I was laughing so hard.

Yes, i will post the recipe for the enchiladas. It was well worth the hassle. I was able to make an extra 9x13 dish that we devoured for lunch. Been staying with my aunt since we checked out of the hotel in Greece.

Flying out tomorrow. Already checked in. Will have more of a chance to post when we get home. And will put more on YouTube.

Favorite parts... The Broadway show, walking back to the hotel through times square, and if course seeing all my family.

ok, so sorry its been a minute. got sucked into the daily rigamarroh...work, home etc.

i have been wanting to get back to this post though..
we had a wonderful time...it was quick...there is such a difference in the way people get around... here we jump into our vehicles and drive where we need to be...there, if youre not walking or paying someone else to move you, then you just arent getting around.

im sorry ahead of time to the people that are confused as to what im relaying to...i ony have the time right now to hurry up and get in as much as I can get out...

The first thing that comes to mind is the reserve amount for the incidentals at roosevelt hotel was only $50, but thats because of booking through hotels.com had i booked direcrt with the hotel, the charge would be $100 as quoted when I called them direct.

the issue with carmel limo...i prearrarnged the ride and was quoted $80 and that I thought was to include all fees, taxes, and tip... but both coming and going ended up being more than that by $18ish... There was NO option NOT to pay a tip. They allow you the choice though how much starting at 20% I think if youre not allowed to choose not to pay that then that means its a fee not a tip!!!

I give them lots of stars or whatever when it comes to time. They are right on time. They were always looking for me and not the other way around. They called me on. my cell phone and let me know where they were, which was usually waiting on me. I booked the morning one for 4am. at 350, they were calling me telling me they were downstairs.

another thing that I was confused about was that I know when downloading and installing the app, they said I had $36 carcash that would be used prior to charging the card...never happened.

and to everyone's disappointment, I did end up having to call for a ride to the show, We had walked enough for that day, my son cant walk far distances without it causing him pain...and we were running out of time to be there early...and almost to be there right on time... i chose the SUV that time because I already saw their idea of luxury sedan. I believe i paid nearly $50 something...worth it. got there on time, got to look around, not in charge of finding our way, getting to take pictures...and more chances to see there is no way i would want to be driving there...

"In my opinion, the Staten Island ferry does indeed get you close enough for a decent look at the statue (almost as close as the ferry to the Statue)."

I agree with this...eventhough I have nothing to compare it to. We saw the statue on the way past and again on the way back...

For this trip, that was plenty. I was pretty much done with the crowds by this point. They all make it seem like if you don't make it in time, you'll left behind...

I am amazed that this ferry operates year round and free.it was so easy to get to thanks to the directions I had...

Plenty of people around trying to change our plans and want you to buy tickets for tour cruises instead.

I'm glad we spent the time and I'm also glad we weren't hauling luggage with us...hard enough dragging ourselves.

For enchiladas:
It's 2 family size Campbell's creme of chicken soup...add small tub of sourcreme. Diced chilis...like 4 small cans...all in a bowl

The other bowl has the chicken that is cooked.I use chicken breast and cut to bitesize pieces...a little garlic powder while cooking the chicken....and cut up green onions and cheese....just get the already shredded Mexican mix...a pound(2 8oz bags)

Already to the side are corn tortillas that you fry in hot oil both sides...every so often I put in a non cooked one in the pile to soak up some of the oil...

Then, it's just a scoop of the sauce and a handful of the chicken/cheese...fold it in thirds and line them up in the baking dish...if u have a hard time with one staying closed add the sauce to weigh it down...otherwise coat the entire dish with the sauce...

Put it in 325 for Like 25-30 minutes.you can tell when because the sauce turns a different color...then sprinkle that cheese and chicken mixture on top and let it melt in the oven...usually only about 10 minutes more

Even better second day.

You're welcome...i forgot to say it's corn tortillas... Which I had a hard time finding in New York...i finally did though. They keep them in the refrigerated section... In Arizona, they don't...

At the hotel what happened is that I had 2 pans with me.i already finished cooking the chicken. The sizzling of the tortillas is the hardest(longest) part and so I decided to speed things up,i would do it double handed... My boyfriend came to the kitchen and said maybe I wanted to turn it to low...i thought nonsense, it must be on high... Which is when the smoke detector went off...i took a look around the room and then realized what he was talking about...

The front desk called, i let them know it was just me cooking... The maintenance man showed at the door....i blamed it on the vent.... He said there really wasn't a vent just to a filter.... They were all very nice about the whole thing.

There is so much more to share...

I've found that now that I'm not planning....there is a void....

Wondering if Australia is possible....October...my son is oneof the billions of people that follow a YouTuber from the UK...he toured the US and even came to Phoenix. We had 2 tickets to the show that has sold out Australia before and most venues here...

Due to my lack of planning..we missed the show....storyis i booked us at a resort...justso happened to have a casino attached...ook. a casino with a resort attached...ad said 20 minutes from town...but they don't tell you the town is BUM YUCK EGYPT....

WE were both crying and praying we would catch a glimpse of his idol...driving to the theatre...

i swore to him we would find him and see him in his next shows.

Would have been nice to catch the San Diego show the next day...but I had to work...then Denver or idaho...but more work for new York trip...the final dateswere in Seattle....you guessed it, the day of my family reunion...

Next shows are in Australia September and October.I'm not wondering if I should, only if i could???

And I reallydo have lots more...

Go fund me?

Of course you CAN go to Australia, if you have the money. You just need plane and hotel reservations. But the UK is a lot closer if this performer is based there.

But for sure, passports will be required. I'll look back in this post to remember how.
The tickets for the show may sell out before I get some money from work...i had a no pay week this week... Nope, don't like that one bit....

So... There are a couple of things from New York that I wanted to report back about... Well actually not new york, but Chicago... When the airplane landed and people were waiting for the doors to open, I heard a lady tell her partner that they couldn't dilly dally getting off the plane and to the next gate or they would miss their flight.

That sounded familiar to my situation.i had my ticket in my hand and so I looked at the times for our connection. The boarding pass said that the flight begins to board at 1200 and departs at 1235...i looked at the time and it was 1215!!!

Panic set in. I alerted my companions. We arrived at terminal C , and we needed to be at terminal E!!! Just seemed like forever to get to where we needed... One funny thing is that mid way through they were giving away free cheesecake... Of course we had time to stop for that... So, then we finally get to the gate. The other people were just getting off the plane. We had a chance to catch our breath and bathroom breaks... That's about the time I took my phone off of airplane mode... And all of a sudden the time change set in... The clock turned back an hour... So, yeah... We had plenty of time... Even enough to get some McDonalds before being the last boarding class allowed on...
