WDW

WHy do people pay $50 addmission each to visit the commercialized tourist trap WDW? They have more money than sense. Everything is overpriced-fast food quality meals, snacks, beverages, toys for their whiny children. Plus it is in FLorida -hot, humid and trashy.

Why would you care? Do you also worry about what kind of cars other people buy, or what price they pay for their meals, or what kind of clothes they buy and where they get them? You have a serious problem, Micky, and you should see someone about your obsession with what other people do.

That's nothing. I know people who spend more than that just to go to a two hour sporting event or concert. Seems to me that $50 for an entire day's entertainment is a pretty good value these days.

If it's too expensive for you, go to South of the Border.

I agree-it's the biggest trashy tourist trip in USA. Instead go somewhere cultural or educational- visit a museum, historic landmark, beautiful natural setting. WDW has as much culture as Galinburg.

Who cares about culture? Why does it have to be about culture? Sometimes, to some people, WDW can be FUN!

Children need to be exposed to cultural and educational activities-that's why 3/4 of children can barely pass high school. Too much TV and everything, like Disney that goes with it.

Fun, cultural, education can all be the same thing. Example: Visit a natural history museum, science center, such as the Exploratorium in SF, natural site such as the Grand Canyon, historical area such as Williamburg.

Oh man! Now WDW is responsible for kids not being able to pass high school?! By the way, what does that mean "3/4 of children can barely pass high school?" How does one "barely pass?"

I can take my son to museums anytime, and I do. We live in San Diego and go to Balboa Park all the time. Vacations can simply be FUN! We had a great time at WDW this June. My husband spent a lot of time with our son which he doesn't always get to do. It was wonderful. We will definately be going back every couple of years.

And I agree with Edna, people spend $50 for an NBA, NHL or NFL game, Broadway or Vegas show for only 3hrs.
