Wash U visit
I will be visiting Wash U with my two girls. Wondering where to stay. We plan on doing some sightseeing too. Was thinking of either staying near campus or near the arch. Wasn't sure how parking is. We will be there in Oct. and during the week. Tue-Thurs. Thanks!

We've been there a couple of times to visit Wash U with our DD (HS senior) - stayed near campus. I'll try to dig up the specific hotel - I think it was Homewood Suites (Galleria). The campus is beautiful and there is a huge park (Forest Park) adjacent to campus with a great zoo. I think there is a lot of construction on campus right now so parking can be a challenge.
We went up the arch before the recent renovation of the museum attached to it. The City Museum is a fun quirky activity museum.
Have fun!

We have stayed at the Cheshire Inn, which is very close to Wash U.
The Cheshire - A Premier Boutique Hotel in St. Louis, MO
At one point, several years ago, it needed a facelift, but I think they have done that now. (The carpets were getting old and funky.)
This hotel is on the Delmar "loop", where there are lots of boutiques and bars the students frequent.
It has always looked cool, although we've never stayed there: the Moonrise

The Clayton area is also close by, and has hotels:

Wash U is a gorgeous campus and a great school! Have fun looking around.
