I wouldn't consider the Hyatt Kauai a big hotel, Hyatt has 602 rooms, Venetian has 4,000.

I have stayed at the Venetian twice. While I agree the rooms are beautiful, both times I've found the staff to be at best disinterested. The level of service is nothing like Bellagio. I stayed twice figuring the 1st stay, the poor service maybe was a fluke, but the second trip confirmed it.

As for the broken stopper in the tub, we had two connecting rooms, in one the tub stopper was broken, a bedside lamp not working, sink needed repair. In second room two lights out. While I recognize this is a large hotel, it's still considered upscale and these myriad small problems shouldn't happen. Some problems were fixed by maintainance, some simply were ignored.

Unfortunately due to the size of the hotel and tourist appeal of Vegas, any individual is barely a drop in the bucket, so they don't really need to appease one person. They will remain busy no matter what.

I suggest doing what I do. Just chalk it up to experience and stay at Bellagio. Don't get your knickers in a twist over their ineptitude.
