Volcano Village Lodging
Any suggestions on where to stay in Volcano Village. I will be traveling with my family, 3 kids included, and wherever we stay I need there to be a television to watch in the evening. I can't decide if I should rent a house or stay in a lodge. Has anyone rented a really great house?

Check: www.volcanoplaces.com. We were very pleased during our visit there. Also search on: www.tripadvisor.com.

We stayed in the Pi'i Mauna House at the Kilauea Lodge http://www.kilauealodge.com/. The cottage is a couple of miles down the road from the main property. Breakfast was included and dinner at the lodge was excellent.

We stayed at the Hualani operated by Kilauea Volcano Cottages http://www.kilaueacottages.com . We absolutely loved it. The house was very clean and spacious and we would definately stay there again.

We also stayed in the Kilauea Lodge in the cottage (right next to the restaurant.) It was our favorite place to stay in Hawaii. We only ate breakfast there and it was wonderful!! Great French Toast and papaya. I cant remember if there was a tv or not and we were traveling with our 2 (8 and 5 at the time) sons. So, I guess it wasnt an issue. The cottage has 2 rooms and a bathroom. It also had a little gas fireplace. It got chilly up there at night. My kids loved it!! and so did I
