Visits to Supreme Court while it's in session
I just checked the Supreme Court Web site and found that visitor's can attend court sessions at 10am and 2pm on Mondays, Wednesdays & __________. There are two options: stay through the session or a three-minute line that lets you take a quick look. I'd like to try the three-minute April 29 (Monday after next). Has anyone done this? What are the lines like? Is the three-minute visit worthwhile? Any other comments? Joe

Just recently did the 3 minute line thing. The wait outside was not bad. Be prepared to give up everything in your possession before going in (security measures). We actually ended up in the courtroom for closer to 10 minutes. Check the Washington Post court section in advance so you have a clue what is going on and you'll appreciate the experience even more. They also have a decent gift shop--good selection of books and touristy trinkets for the kids. Have fun!
