Visit to the New York Times building
Does anyone know if it is possible to tour the New York Times newspaper building? Or how I can find the information out. My 15 year old son is very interested in Journalism and reads the NY Times everyday. We will be visiting in NY next week.
Thanks!

I worked their briefly a few years back, and it's a wonderful company which has a surprisingly small company feel.
I'm pretty sure that they have tours but unfortunately don't know how one goes about arranging it. I'd suggest if you're going to be in the city for a few days, just drop by early in your trip, walk up to security and let them know what you're looking for. Security guys are very friendly and will know how to help you.
Good luck. Make sure to drop by the cafeteria. It's pretty good food and you'll get it a lot cheaper than outside.

Call and ask--better yet have your son do it. If he wants to be a journalist, best to start acting like one now! Even if they don't, it will be a good experience for him having done it. And if he introduces himself as a high school student from TK High School in TK Town, TK State, he'll probably at least get a nice no.
If you have time, I'd send a letter, too.
