Visit to LA

Taking my family (wife, daughter-16, son-13) to LA in April. They all love movies and TV. Besides the obligatory Disney and Universal, want to know some good "insiders" cool things to do--best places to see stars or get unique "behind the scenes" access, be in a studio audience etc. Thanks!

One site for TV show tapings:

www.tvtickets.com

Note age restrictions on many shows.

The Ivy is definitely an industry place, but another place to try for "star" sightings-- much cheaper-- is the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at Sunset and Fairfax, weekday afternoons. Or Urth Caffé on Melrose at lunchtime.

Check out the Warner Bros VIP tour ... I think it's much better than Universal. Takes you around in golf carts.
