Visit to LA
Taking my family (wife, daughter-16, son-13) to LA in April. They all love movies and TV. Besides the obligatory Disney and Universal, want to know some good "insiders" cool things to do--best places to see stars or get unique "behind the scenes" access, be in a studio audience etc. Thanks!

One site for TV show tapings:
www.tvtickets.com Note age restrictions on many shows. The Ivy is definitely an industry place, but another place to try for "star" sightings-- much cheaper-- is the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at Sunset and Fairfax, weekday afternoons. Or Urth Caffé on Melrose at lunchtime. |
Check out the Warner Bros VIP tour ... I think it's much better than Universal. Takes you around in golf carts.

Griffith Park Observatory. Go to the website and get shuttle tickets. go in the evening so you can view the telescope at night....very cool!
