Vegas Show for Mom and daughter

My mother (50s) and I (30s) are doing a girls' trip to Las Vegas in early May. We do want to see a show while we're there, and I wanted advice on which one to see. Nothing topless, please. We're thinking about Mamma Mia, but I'd hate to miss something better!

Unfortunately, Mom is not a Jerry Seinfeld fan, because we will be there while he's at Caesar's. I saw Carlin last time I was there.

I think either of the Cirq du Soleil shows would be great, "O" or Mystere.
Danny Gans is one of the best entertainers in LV, The Best IMO-
We live in NY so the plays are not of that much interest to us since we see them on Broadway but it is fun to see the big extravaganza shows that they do in Vegas!
Have fun!

I say Mama Mia all the way. Without a spoiler, the show is about the interactions between a feminist single mother and her daughter coming to grips with finding out who the real father is at the daughter's wedding. The context might be something special for a mother/daughter "girls trip".

I second the opinion for Mystere (followed by "O").

I doubt your mom is an Abba fan, so i don't think she'd 'love' Mama Mia.

If you like illusion, don't miss Lance Burton at the Monte Carlo. If you like bells & whistles, Siegfried & Roy are for you. Either of the Cirque du Soleil's are enjoyable too. You might like a comedy club. Tropicana has the Improv.

MAMMA MIA! Excuse me Bo! My mom loves ABBA and she's in her early 50's
Even if you aren't a huge fan of ABBA it's such a fun show. And ABBA is one of those bands that you don't think you like but once you hear all the music you'll leave thinking, "I think I like them."

Get a massage, see a show..how fun.

Seigfreid & Roy is a tremendously amazing show - great for all ages and nothing risque about it. I was reluctant to go because I was told it was magic, not a favorite for me, but this "magic" is really something to see. We ranged in age from 30's to 60's but saw many children in attendance

Another vote for Mystere. Didn't see o, but if I return to Vegas, will do. Loved it so much, when visiting Orlando, took nephew to see the Cirque show there. He turned to us at the end and said "thank you for bringing me to this!" What's better than that?! Great fun for all ages!

We (50's) took our kids (30's) to see Mystere and all of us loved it, the kids enough to have searched out and gone to the traveling shows in Dallas and Phoenix the following year.

I'd jump at the chance to see Mamma Mia too. I've now crossed the ugly boundary of 6-0 territory, Bo, and can happily sing along with most every Abba song made (as can our kids as we played it to death). That was the era of battling stereos, Mom and Dad's vs the kids. Abba vs Cyndi Lauper etc.

See "O."

But don't bother with the "Oh!". That's a completly different entertainment option. Please don't confuse the two.

"O" is the show with Cirque du Soleil acrobats and water effects.

"Oh!" shows dippy queens giving celebs haircuts and facials.

I know - it's all so confusing. Aren't you glad I'm here to break it all down for you?
