Vegas Hotel Confusion

OK, we were all set to stay at the Monte Carlo and then I get this email with a great Mirage deal. Which hotel to choose? I've never been to Vegas before so I'm stumped. Help!!

Mirage: better location, better pool (if you're going after early March), more stylish hotel (though it's over 10 years old now), rooms are slightly nicer at Mirage. I can't think of an aspect in which MC is better than Mirage except that it's newer and it's easier to get to and from the rooms.

If you are going during midweek, you might try the Venetian. It is a beautiful hotel. Rates can be reasonable, especially last minutes.

I think you answered your own question. Go with the "great Mirage deal". Although I agree with travleis that the Mirage is overall better, both are good, quality hotels. Just remember to check any sour attitudes upon arrival and your Las Vegas visit can be rewarding. Good luck!

Thanks-don't worry about sour attitudes! I never have a sour attitude about going on vacation and the thought of being anywhere warmer than here (Chicago where it is 5) just makes my day!

Go for Mirage. I've stayed at the Mirage, Venetian, Hilton, Mandalay, and
Bellagio, but really enjoyed Mirage for it's great rooms (we got upgraded to a suite which was fabulous), pool, and location. You can't go wrong here....

If you got the $95 with $20 food and beverage credit from the Mirage...by all means, go for the Mirage.
The location is better and the rooms are still very clean and up to date.

travelis is absolutely 100% right. you should not hesitate to stay at the mirage. i'll tell you something else, having just returned on friday from yet another stay there, the staff are the friendliest and the hotel is in the best location.

Thanks all. I'm cancelling our M.C. reservation now and going with the Mirage. I didn't think I'd regret the switch but now I'm doubly sure. We are thinking of reservations at Onda-Anyone have anything to say on it?
