Vegas Entertainment - Something A Little Bit Different
Hello all, I'm surprising my husband with a trip to Vegas for his birthday at the end of May.
We have been several times before and have done some great things, including Bellagios / Freemont / Rita Rudner/ Voodoo lounge at the Rio Hotel / Helicopter trip over Grand Canyon / Firing Machine Guns at Shooting Gallery etc...
I want to have a really cool surprise lined up for him, something off the beaten track. Has anyone done anything unusal, i.e. something you don't normally find listed in guide books?
I was thinking maybe a few advanced lessons in Blackjack.
I have no idea where to start looking for this one so if anyone has any great ideas please let me know.
Also - we are staying at Aladdin, do you think they'd be able to help with this sort of thing? Advice?
Thanks.
Abby

How about an ATV (4 wheeler) trip through the Valley of Fire or perhaps a tour in a Hummer? Try: http://www.looktours.com/
I have thought it would be cool to rent a Porsche or Vette or whatever. I don't remember the name of the place but this is available on the strip.
For the indoor minded, you could try dinner at the top of the Strat. My wife and I had a very nice dinner at the top of Binions.
I think most casinos have classes in various types of gambling, not sure about the advanced type....Have fun!

Another idea is a horseback ride through Red Rock followed by a campside dinner overlooking the valley. I think that's in looktours.com as well. If not, it's one of the major tour companies in town.
Another idea is a hot air ballon ride or hang gliding. Sure, you could do all of these things in any town, but it's Vegas, baby!
Try calling the conceinerge (sp?) desk at the Allddin before you leave if you want to plan ahead. They may be able to help you out.

Though it's kinda, "ON" the beaten track.
Ha ha!
Seriously, would be awesome fun for him. The concierge should help with this if neded.
