WOW What an incredible looking place is it as good as the pics?
Is the Aladdins Desert Passage Mall the same place as the Storm Mall?
http://www.vegas.com/shopping/desertpassage.html?f=m0sh&t=despastxt
If not where is the desert storm mall?
Also what kind of temp to expect in Mid August?
Thanks in advance

there is no mall called the desert storm mall in Las Vegas. Yes, the closest thing to what you seem to be talking about is the Desert Passage Mall; there is a fake 'rainstorm' that takes place inside the mall. The effect is chessy and stupid, and lasts about 30 seconds in a small, small area. The mall is very nice, but don't go see it just for the indoor rainstorm. An indoor fountain in any suburban shopping mall is more impressive than the indoor rain storm.

Yes, there are 3 fun malls in LV; The Forum Shops at Ceasars Palace, The Desert Passage, and The Grand Canal Shops at The Venetian. They are 'fun' because of the designs of the mall itself - each with it's own theme. If you can picture Disney designing an indoor mall, that's what you'll get in LV. Judging from your email address, it seems that you're from Canada, so you'll be accustomed to large, indoor shopping centers. While the one's in LV aren't as large as say, the Edmenton (sp)Mall, they do have their own, kitchy charm.

Hi jan,
I would say that they are more on the kitschy side than some high priced malls in better neighborhoods
but they do fit in the overthetop decor of Las Vegas. They also have the Gap,Banana Republics, and then Very expensive shops so they cater to ALL tastes and pocketbooks.
I like the Forum shops the best. The Venetian has nice shops.Bellagio has a few very high priced stores, Chanel,Prada, etc. But try to see them all, you will enjoy them,no matter how much kitsch you run in to
We are there often in Aug.The temps range from 109-111! But you hardly notice, just going in and out of casino/hotels and taking short walks.Wear sunblock!Have fun.!
