Vail for 3 nights
My husband and I are looking for 3 nights accomodation in the Vail area. Our main interest in a room is view and possibly a balcony. We want to stay around $200 a night.
I am considering:
Sonnenalp. Not sure if the cheaper rooms have a balcony, though
Austria Haus. They are having a 3 nights for price of 2 sale. Is there a view?
The Lodge at Vail. Is it still nice or worn down?
And I am wondering if the town is still crazy with construction noise.
Any input is appreciated!

Queenie,
When is your trip? Our family is doing the 3 nights for 2 deal at Vail Cascade August 4-6. Is that too late for a trip report?
I will say that I've talked to several people who rave about the Cascade. They said it's quiet and away from the construction zoo. Guess we'll see!

I'm in Vail at the Sonnenalp right now. We are in the smallest suite which is $350 per night. We do have a balcony and a lovely view. I believe there are a couple of regular hotel rooms available at the Sonnenalp for $220 per night, but I'm not sure about the balcony or view. I will try to find out and report back.
When we walk through Vail Village later today, I will check out the others.
