Vail for 3 nights
My husband and I are looking for 3 nights accomodation in the Vail area. Our main interest in a room is view and possibly a balcony. We want to stay around $200 a night. I am considering: Sonnenalp. Not sure if the cheaper rooms have a balcony, though Austria Haus. They are having a 3 nights for price of 2 sale. Is there a view? The Lodge at Vail. Is it still nice or worn down? And I am wondering if the town is still crazy with construction noise. Any input is appreciated! |
Oh boy - now I see the Vail Cascade has a '3 nights for the price of 2' promotion...
Anyone have any thoughts on these hotels? Thanks! |
Queenie,
When is your trip? Our family is doing the 3 nights for 2 deal at Vail Cascade August 4-6. Is that too late for a trip report? I will say that I've talked to several people who rave about the Cascade. They said it's quiet and away from the construction zoo. Guess we'll see! |
I'm in Vail at the Sonnenalp right now. We are in the smallest suite which is $350 per night. We do have a balcony and a lovely view. I believe there are a couple of regular hotel rooms available at the Sonnenalp for $220 per night, but I'm not sure about the balcony or view. I will try to find out and report back.
When we walk through Vail Village later today, I will check out the others. |
I like the Vail Cascade... try to get to their spa if you stay there... the Aria.

I ahve stayed at the Cascade in the past and had a great time. Wonderful pool by the river. A View will cost you more though. We were lucky and got a ground floor room on the river. Perfect.

FYI, for our August trip, our suite with a view at the Vail Cascade averages out to $219 over the three nights night(it's the buy 2 get one night free deal).
