I'd do it 2 nights in Hocking Hills & 4 on the Lake. There are 7 different parks in the Hocking Hills area all w/in about 25 miles. You could reasonably hike them all in two days. Only 2 are strenuous at all (Conkles Hollow if you do the Rim Trail & Cantwell Cliffs) the rest are mostly flat & easy walking.

The Jet Express leaves from both Port Clinton and Sandusky going to the Islands and is a smoother, faster ride, something you might want to consider for that seasick person. http://www.jet-express.com/ You could use their parking lot, take the Express, and pick up a golf cart after your arrival to the Island for your transportation needs while there. I would suggest going to Put-In-Bay for a day, stay overnight and then the next day, take the Jet Express to Kelly's picking up another golf cart there, spending the day, and back to the mainland that evening.

about ohio- I forgot that a person in my party have a seasickness problem thats pretty bad, even on the smoothest of boat ride. So, the ferry over to the islands is out. Any other ideas for Ohio on the mainland other than the Hocking Hills? Any good pristine lake erie beaches on the mainland?
