Vacation home in Hanelai

Hi

I hope this is seen by those of you fortunate enough to have stayed there or live there. Help, we are coming to Kauai in a few months and my hubby suddenly wants to rent a vacation home. I have had bad experiences in the past (dirty, hot, old and bad mattress)so I get a little worried. Please help me find a home in Hanelai that would fit my family. I am afraid to get one without seeing it first. But with your help I am sure to find one on or near the beach and clean.

Thanks for your time!!

How many bedrooms? What's your budget?

I suggest doing a search on the following (or one of the many other companies) and then post some follow up questions.

Good luck in your search

Hi
I would like at least 3 rooms and I am open about the budget. As I have seen all different prices. I guess most do not have air conditioning, I would have liked to have that to. We just loved Hanelai we wanted to be able to stay there.

I was not sure if most rentals are manged by companies or if people knew of any independent owners.
Thanks again

You should try vrbo.com or vacationrentals.com (can recommend the last one) I’ve seen here a lot of people have also used vrbo. They do have a lot of options and since your budget is open you can try vacationhomes.com I know that they have an option to refine your search an A/C is one of them. Good luck and have a great time in Kauai.

I rented this very nice Hanalei house with my sisters and daughter-in-law a few years ago. (If the link doesn't work, do a search for
"Paulele"). It was one block to the beach park, and about 2-3 short blocks to walk into town. The house was clean and comfortable.
We loved the large wraparound decks and lush landscaping. Since we had quite a bit of rain, it was particularly nice that much of the deck was covered. The house is available as a 3 bedroom or 4 bedroom, with the 4th bedroom being next to the garage. How old are your kids? The bedrooms are not right next to each other, which is great for older kids, but might be an issue if they are young. We rented direct from the owners, but it is also available through Napali Properties.
