USS Missouri - Reservations ?

I've been reading "Driving & Discovering Oahu" and they suggested making reservations ahead of time if you plan to visit the USS Missouri and want a guided tour. We're planning to visit all 3 (Pearl Harbor, USS Bowfin Sub, and USS Missouri) all at the same time and didn't want to have to book reservations ahead of time if I would be able to book the guided tour that morning. We plan to get there EARLY (7:30am) so we can see Pearl first off before the crowds and to try and avoid a 3hr wait. We were then going to visit USS Missour and then USS Bowfin last.

USS Missouri isn't crowded at all. (The Japanese tourists who flock to the USS Arizona all seem to skip the Missouri...) You shouldn't have any problem doing a tour of it. There is a shuttle bus that leaves from the parking lot near the Visitor Center and takes you over the bridge to it. I was very impressed at how the ship was restored and the tour was great!

My concern relates to a "guided" tour vs. self tour. I was afraid they might be booked for the day in regards to guided tours.

If my experience was "normal," all of the tours are guided. It's a big ship, and they don't want you wandering off and getting lost in it!

The tours are not all guided. We did self-guided last November.
