University of Central Florida Hotels

I am in need of hotel recommendations near UCF. Other than Radisson, Hilton Garden, and LaQuinta, are there any other hotels in the area ? How convenient are the three mentioned to campus? Thanks in advance for your help!!

You would probably get some replies if you stated "where" or "what city" UCF is located in.

No offense, LN, and I often agree details are important, but it seems that anyone with knowledge of UCF and convenient hotels would already know what city it is in. If they didn't, then they probably wouldn't be able to help with suggestions for hotels convenient to it anyway.

I agree with you NeoPatrick. Hopefully some feedback will be submitted. Otherwise, I'll rely on Fodors and Trip Advisor reviews to select a hotel.

I can't help with your request. We were down there 2 years ago for my nephew's graduation, but stayed on International drive, closer to Disney World. We were away from the congestion closer to Universal.

Hopefully Orlando Vic will answer your post. Try bringing this question back to the top on Monday.

Good luck,

MY

If OrlandoVic sees this, he should be able to give you the best info; until then, there's a Homewood Suites on Alafaya Trail very near the campus that some friend stayed at recently. Well-maintained. Of the three you mentioned, the LaQuinta is closest, with the Hilton and Radisson being farther south on Alafaya Trail.

Thanks, guys. I saw this post earlier but I stalled on answering it since I live on the other side of town and don't get over to UCF very often. I did a simple Google search and came up with some additional possibilities:

Thanks Orlando Vic. I did a search as well but hate to stay somewhere without feedback from this site. Fodorites truly take the stress out of traveling to unfamiliar places!!!

There are b&b options as well, one who is well known as having UCF parents stay with, located in Maitland. Just depends on what you are looking for - ambience, price, etc...

bnbtraveler is abiding by the Fodor's rules about no personal advertising. However, since I have no financial interest in this particular B&B, I can give the details myself. Check out Thurston House in nearby Maitland: http://www.thurstonhouse.com/

I'm attending a conference at UCF and prefer a hotel for this trip. One close to the campus and yet within a good area for dining, etc.. would be ideal.

Orlando_Vic,
The Thurston House looks great. I'll keep it in mind for a future trip to Florida.
