Universal Studios /Islands of Adventure

Just a questions on tickets...Advice ...We will be spending 1 day in each park...do you suggest 1 ticket per park or the Park to Park ticket which we can jump from one park to the other in those days? We will be there in October!
Thank You

I think it depends on what you like to do in a theme park. If you like to work your way around the park in an orderly fashion and see everything, including the shows, then 1 ticket per park would work. If you are more interested in rides, then you might want the Park to Park ticket, because Islands of Adventure has more of the "big" rides. I've chaperoned groups of high school students on trips to Universal several times and they tend to prefer Islands of Adventure and want to spend more time there, whereas the parents on the trip prefer the Universal Studios side.

I like the park hopper tickets just to have a change of pace during the day. Universal Studios to me seems more low key than Islands of Adventure---especially since Harry Potter came to IOA.
Also..you may do something you really like in one park and want to experience it again the next day and a park hopper would allow you to do that.

Check to see what time the parks close. The last time we went it closed at 7:00 p.m.. We were glad to have the park to park ticket because we otherwise wouldn't have had enough time to finish everything in the Islands of Adventure.
