No Swede I've ever known speaks 'pidgin English'
sofie - your stories are getting crossed - He doesn't know you are coming, but he has a car so you don't need one, but then again he knows you are coming, but just another day . . .
It is getting pretty deep in here.
You have several flights ahead of you - at least 3 but probably more -- you'd better get to work booking.

Just took a quick look at Kayak and the best fare seems to be about $1800 in coach. You would need to leave a day or two in advance since the trip is about 23 hours - Stockholm to London Heathrow to either NY or DC to Dallas and then to Austin - so 4 flights. I would be afraid of some sort of problem in the flights and would leave on the 4th so you are sure of getting there by the 6th.
And I would definitely not travel without being sure he can pick you up - since getting around Texas without a car is practically impossible.

Oh, and am not a hockey fan - but since there is a boyfriend in the picture I think the hockey is actually immaterial.
And I'm sure he can get you a free ticket - all the players are given freebies - esp for teams with practically no audience.
