Tybee Island - Pet friendly

I am having a problem finding a pet friendly hotel for a Tybee Island weekend in May. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

You're not going to find one.
Try Jekyll Island instead.
Or, try the LaQuinta Midtown Savannah or other options off island.

You MAY be able to find a pet friendly cottage or condo rental - but not a hotel on Tybee (or at least, I've never found one)

Unfortunately Tybee is pretty unfriendly to pets. Unless something has changed recently, dogs are not allowed on the beach at any time, any season, even when leashed. There was an article in the paper a couple years back about this actually being enforced with big fines.

We like Tybee's downhome feel (and great beaches), but when we travel with our dog, we go to the much more pet friendly Hilton Head just to the north.

Thank you for your input. My sister has a small dog that she will not kennel (old problem of making the dog sick every time). So I will pass on the advise - Jekyll and Hilton Head are two of my favorites. Thanks again.
