The Trolley is great just to people watch, let alone get around without looking for a parking spot. Someone can stay at the Laguna Beach Inn(fine place for 100/nt w/breakfast) and still have access to all of laguna. I should mention there are some fine restaraunts in S Laguna like Ti Amo

Pageant of the Masters is a tableaux vivants, or living pictures. It is almost entirely volunteers from the community, and they spend hours getting made up and blend into recreations of famous pictures and sculptures. They always do a recreation of the Last Supper, and they always show one picture explaining how it was created behind the scenes.

It is pretty unique, and they have been doing it in Laguna for 75 years. It's very well done for what it is, and there is a nice art show on the grounds, and a pretty restaurant where you can eat outside before the show.

It is not to everyone's taste, to be sure, but if you have a free evening and want to experience the quintessential Laguna Beach summer time activity, you would probably enjoy it. If you go, you can take binoculars, or rent them there, along with blankets.

Here is a hotel that has a pretty upstairs deck with a bar. It was popular during the filming of the Laguna reality show. You don't need to stay there to have a drink and enjoy the view.
