Tucson/Westin/Activities with kids

Contemplating going to a conference in Tucson in October. Every time I go to a conference, I try to talk hubby into going. At least once a year he says he'll go, then backs out. The conference is at the Westin La Paloma. Anyone have suggestions for how to sell him on going this time? He said not three days ago that he's never been to the southwest (he's traveled all over the world, but very little in the U.S.) and would like to go, so I think this might be my chance. We would have a 2 year old with us. Comments, suggestions, must-sees? All appreciated as I'm tired of people at this conference, which I go to every year, assuming that my boss and I are married (although I'm starting to think that he doesn't mind people thinking his wife is 20 years younger than he).

Do I have a list for you. Please send me an email and I will forward you a list (too long for here) with clickable links to all the sights.

The senora desert museum should be at the top of the must see list, and you're 2 year old will enjoy it as well.

There is also this little kind of mini-theme park where they used to film old westerns. I can't remember the name. It's very low key, and if I remember correctly has a petting zoo, some amusement park type rides, little shows, and that kind of thing.

Hi,
I will be staying at the Westin la Paloma in Tucson in April with my husband and a 2-year old. Would appreciate any suggestions as to "must sees" that I could take my little one to.

Tuscon is my hometown for 35 years. It has its own charm. The Desert Museum, Old Tucson, Randolph Park Zoo are just a few places to see. The weather is beautiful in the fall and the Westin La Paloma has its own charm. Enjoy!
