Tucson sights

Which of these 2 sights is more worthwhile? I will only have time to do 1 most likely. Tucson Botanical Garden or Tohono Chul Park.
Also, approx how long is the drive from the West entrance of Saguaro National Park to the East entrance? Thanks

I personally prefer Tohono Chul Park (they have a great tea room there too).

Tohono is beautiful, but I would prefer Arizona Desert Museum if you have enough time.
More animals, more desert feeling. Donot let the name foll you, it is NO Museum, but a large desert area.

Arizona Sonora Desert Museum is a "must do" www.desertmuseum.org

The Tucson Mountain (West) Saguaro
Natn'l park is 30-40 miles from the
Rincon Mountain (East) park. If you go to the Tucson Mt. park you will be
nearly next to the Az Sonora Desert Museum. Be sure to check their website
as there is a road closure of the Gates Pass road during Sept.and they show alternate routes for getting to the museum.

I agree, the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum should be at the top of your list.

There is really no need to do the East section of Saguaro Park unless you just happen to be in the area. I would suggest, as others have, the Desert Museum and West Saguaro Park.

Tohono Chul is a pleasant place for breakfast.

Great, thanks. I was definitely planning to do the Arizona Desert Museum-- just wanted to determine which of the other parks would be best for my last day there.

Rather than East Saguaro why not try Sabino Canyon. They have a shuttle with guide that goes to the top,or one can hike it( pick up the shuttle at various stops). Very informative and a good way to see how the landscape and vegetation change as the elevation increases.
