Hi. What are the must sees in Tucson? Saguaro Natl Pk I heard was great. Anything else if you are there for only 2 days. We are newly married, professionals...fun and energetic, too. Thanks!

Our two favorites are:
1. Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. Don't let the word "museum" throw you off. This is wonderful outdoor facility.
2. Sabino Canyon--a beautiful spot for hiking, picnicking, swimming in natural swimming holes. Take the tram ride to the top and walk down.

I second the desert museum, and would add Old Tucson, a town originally built for a 1940's movie set and frequently-used for more recent movies. There's also a great Mission not too far out of town, and for this you can leave the car at the hotel and travel by public bus (one change to a tiny shuttle-bus mid-way)... I think the Mission is called San Xavier, but I will let other more-knowledgeable posters confirm this.

Pima Air Museum is really good if you are an aviation buff. Titan Missile silo also worth a visit.

The Sonoran Desert Museum is an incredible place that features all the flora and fauna found in the Sonoran Desert. The Hummingbird House and Aviary is so amazing. You can spend a good half day roaming around this place. Don't miss it. We also really enjoyed the drive up Mount Lemmon. It's so beautiful and you drive through several climatic zones. Gorgeous rock formations and plenty of pull offs for views/pictures. A great place for sandwiches at the top. Tucson is a wonderful place. Where are you staying? We stayed in some incredible B&B's if you need recommendations. Have a great time.

We are staying at the Loews Ventana. Where are the nearest Outlet stores for discount shopping? We will be renting a car.

I have not been back to Tucson since
1977, but I still love it.
Tucson has a lot of nice hotels and
resorts, you could have a great time
and never leave the hotel.
The University of Arizona has a
beautiful campus. They have the
USS Arizona memorial. At night,
you can look through the telescope at
the observatory. Drive by the air base.
You will be amazed at all the air planes.
Also, check out the area for your future
retirement home.

Regarding outlet stores: The closest thing we have to what would be an outlet mall is Foothills Mall. It has Off 5th, Nike, Adidas, Famous Foodwear, Ross, etc., but also has non-discount stores like Barnes & Noble and Linens n Things as well as some local shops.

Go to Karchner's Caverns. They are amazing!
