TripAdvisor-two totally, and I mean TOTALLY, different reviews!

Gotta agree. I think it's a virtual certainty that the glowing post about #510 was a plant trying to offset the negative review below it. For that matter, the review of #634 also looks like it was written by an owner posing as guest and trying to deflect the criticism heaped on #510.

The newest one, with the reference to 'soft sand' or whatever, is the proof IMO. I have NEVER seen anything about the property- from even the happiest customers- that doesn't admit the beach is rocky!

Does anyone know how far from this property you have to walk for nice sandy beach? Can you walk on the beach to get to it? Thanks for responses. That was my feeling too - that the latest post might be a "plant"!

A good example of a review that I'd take with a grain of salt is one of a Paris hotel that we liked very much. A later reviewer complained that Air France had mis-delivered their luggage, as though that was the hotel's fault, and that the front desk staff wouldn't get a taxi on a bad night because the distance was too short. The desk staff knew no cab driver would take the fare; so it was hardly the hotel's fault. Negative comments like that make me suspect the reviewers aren't being realistic about what's in a hotel's purview and what is not.
