The Cincinnati Art Museum is really nice and it is free all the time thanks to a bequest.
Drive across the bridge to Newport and go to the Aquarium (the jellyfish room is terrific)
The Museum Center in Union Terminal is interesting and the building is a beautiful example of an old Art Deco station.
You could go north on I-71 to Kings Island or go to a Reds game.
Restaurants I wouldn't miss:
Graeter's Ice Cream (try a nectar soda)
Skyline Chili
Frisch's
Montgomery Inn - The sauce is the best but you can buy it all over the area. That's what we do since the restaurant is pretty expensive and you can make your own at home with their sauce.

Really need a little more information on your interests, will you have a car, where will you be staying, etc. If you will be here on the 4th, there will be plenty of celebrations and fireworks. During the summer months there is usually something happening on both sides of the river front (Ohio and Kentucky).

eating along the kentucky side of the river gives you great views.
mt. adams is quaint, picturesque, and full of unique restaurants.
drive the city tour, following the queen city tour signs for a complete drive through our parks and landmark areas.
catch a ballet or opera.
if you do have a car drive out to hyde park , and lots of lovely eateries at hyde park square. some with outdoor seating or gardens.
tellers, for instance. also, you get your graeters ice cream here, too!!
jazz at "awakenings coffee house" sundays from 8-10 pm.
if you then head up to oakley square, there are several new FAB restaurants dotted along the street.
best ice cream here is the famous aglemesis'.(sp?). this is a true old fashioned soda shop.. from the mirrors to the tables.
lots of good happy hours in these local restaurants.
try our coney islands.. a mini hot dog with chili topping and optional cheese, onions and mustard. take out or eat in.
watch the private planes land at lunken airport and rent bikes there to ride the several -mile-long bike path that circles the airort. good food/drink at this intersting airport..
more fun at night.
river downs. horse races every day.
coney island. largest pool in the USA? also fun small kiddie park. sometimes important concerts next door at the concert grounds.
take a river boat cruise.
so much to do..
