Ride the incline to the top of Mt Washington for a great view.
Take a paddleboat or dinner cruise, from the dock near Station Square.
Go to a Pirates game.
Museums: Carnegie art, sciences, top of the Cathedral of Learning, Andy Warhol; the Concert hall downtown ...
If you are there on the 4th, go see the concert and fireworks at Point State Park. Or just take a picnic to the park and enjoy the view. Other great views from Schenley park.
Visit the Shenley Conservatory (is that what its called? the glass house with exotic plants from all over).
Walk in the strip district (wholesale market) to check out wares from all over. Get a fish sandwich at Wholey's, or a famous sandwich from Primanti Brothers. Practice talking in your Pgh accent.
Craig Street in Oakland where the great (ethnic) restuarants are: Star of India, Ali Baba's, ... several others.
Upscale shopping in Shadyside or Station Square.
Chances are there is a neighborhood festival somewhere, any weekend in summer. Find it and eat great food.
Kennywood park is a great old-fashioned amusement park with world-class roller coasters.
