Travel to Cape Cod

We are planning to leave for Cape Cod on friday morning and return on monday.
What time should we be travelling in order to avoid the traffic on the bridges (to CC).
Thanks

Traffic to the Cape should start building up around 3 pm on Friday. If you hit the bridges before that you should be ok. Depending on your route you'll probably be heading over the Bourne Bridge which usually does not have the infamous backups that the Sagamore does.

On the return I would be leaving by 2pm.

Listen to WBZ1030am for traffic reports every ten minutes on the "3s" (9:03, 9:13 etc). The reports are only moderately accurate but it will give you a sense of what's going on.

I would definitely leave for Cape Cod early in the morning, around 6-7:00 a.m. and that way, you'll sail across the bridges (the Bourne is the best one to take) and then you'll have the whole day to relax. Leaving, I would leave earlier than 2:00 p.m. on your return. Traffic gets bad around noon, so your best bet is to head out around 10:30 or 11:00 a.m.
