Thanksgiving is the busiest season of the year to fly. If you're driving, have fun - if you're flying, good luck!!

My husband & I did a Thanksgiving trip several years ago and went to Savannah, GA. Beautiful city, lots of delicious food, moderate tempartures and just a nice quiet get-away. We left the Monday (or maybe Sunday) before Thanksgiving and came back on the Friday or Sat. after, so we missed some of the hectic travel days. We also flew into & out of Charleston so we had a little time in that city as well. If we did it again, we might spend some more time Charleston b/c we didn't see much there. We did stop in Beaufort for lunch on the drive to Savannah--yet another beautiful town!

Portland Oregon!
Amazing markets, spend a day in the wine country, another in town perhaps taking a mix your own wine class - great restuarants
