place2, you are NOT allowed to deny me the right to call the L Mark truck a pickup truck. At least you can't until the urge to buy one has passed.

Just saw a commercial for the truck the guy I talked to liked a lot. Nissan Titan. He said it was well designed - that they had thought out a lot of things that work well in the design. Still, was considering selling it because of gas mileage. Anyway, it was a pretty truck and he was happy with all but mileage. That's the sum total of all I know about the truck, but just for FYI.

Friend bought a Titan. Loves it. Small cargo space near the rear wheel, which is often overlooked by other mfrs. Fold down front seats have a hard, plastic, flat surface great for many uses. Great towing power for the 2 horse trailer. Hasn't complained about mileage because he's a bit like me --- I know going into a purchase of anything with a V8 that mileage is not the goal. Power. Torque.

Personally, the only Japanese-owned truck I would buy is from Toyota, and I own a Chevrolet.

The last time I had my Nissan Pathfinder in for service, they loaned me a new Titan for the day. OMG, it was huge!!!!! It did drive nice, but I did not enjoy driving it at all. I felt like I was in a tank, a BIG tank, lol! I would not even want to know what it gets for gas mileage or how much it would take to fill with gas.

f, iz that the small square side door on the side of the truck near the rear? He pointed that out. He used it for storing jumper cables, bungees, etc. Also said the bed of the truck had a system (not rails, but I can't remember what he called them) with components that you can order to fit into the system. He loved the truck. His was a steel grey color and beautiful. The other one we talked about was a white Avalanche. Just liked the looks of the Titan - but I'm not in the market for a truck!
