travel advice needed
Hello All!
I'm just looking for some advice/tips on traveling to las - vegas. I've been twice and want to take my girlfriend this time. The previous times I went were fully paid for by my boss so I'm not sure how to get the cheapest rates. I do want to stay at a top 5 hotel like the belagio, venetian or cosmo. Any advice or tips on getting the best flight/Hotel price would be great.
I know we used expedia in the past, and I live in North Carolina (Raleigh Durham area)
The biggest thing is: When should I try to look for deals? I want to go in Sept/Oct so is now too early to find the best deal? I need to plan it a few months out atleast, and I have heard it can be cheaper last minute, but unfortunately i cant do that
Thanks in advance!

Everyone here wants travel advice. If you need info on the best way to get good prices on 5* hotels in Las Vegas - then that's what you need to put in your title.
I suggest you repost with a much more specific question.

Delta seems to be the major carrier out of RDU to LAS unsually with a layover in Memphis. I checked Kayak and they sent me to Delta.com I doubt that you will get much better than $283 PP each way. The Delta website shows a calendar for the month of travel with fares listed by day.
At the bottom of the Delta website, you will see that they can arrange hotels and rental cars. I don't know if it is any better deal than what you can find elsewhere.
Who knows where the jet fuel prices are headed? When you know your dates for sure buy the tickets. Don't get stuck with a change fee however.

Cool thanks for the response. Is it better to get the flight and hotel bundled from the air carrier company then ? Better then like expedia and what not ? It feels like I'm too far out to book things for Sept is Oct right now and carriers and hotels don't have all their plans set yet

Another option is to fly on Southwest Airlines. Then you can each check two suitcases and if prices go down there is no fee to change your tickets. You'll get a credit to use on a future flight. They also have vacation packages to Las Vegas. Many people who stay at the strip hotels don't rent cars, but use a shuttle to and from the airport. September will probably still be quite hot. October is very pleasant.
