Transportation to Staten Isl. Ferry
Four people want to spend a day in Financial Dist. including Lady of liberty, South Seaport. Is it good to go on Sunday or Monday. Will it be better to take a taxi to go straight to the Ferry terminal since we have 4 people, or it is better of by bus.

Go on a Sunday, you'lll have much less crowd to deal with. It's a very busy business district. You can take a subway to the Seaport, the 2, 3, 4 and 5 trains to Fulton Street, the 6 train to Brooklyn Bridge, or the A or C trains to Broadway Nassau. Or you can take the N or R trains to Whitehall Street which stops at the southernmost point in Manhattan, and the Statue of Liberty ferry is close by. Don't waste your money on a taxi, the subway is much more efficient and easy. Have fun.

Take the 4 or 5 train from 42nd and Lex (Grand Central station, another must-see) downtown to the Bowling Green Station (5 stops). This will leave you in Battery Park...the ferries to Liberty Island are at the southern tip of the park, and the Staten Island ferry is at the east side of the park. You didn't say which ferry you were going to ride, but I vote for the SI Ferry - it's free, and there's no horrendous lines!
