*I* have not stayed there personally but a friend stayed there recently with her daughter who was playing in a soccer game in the Tahoe area.
She said it was fine...nothing terribly fancy and very good prices mid-week.
Hope you get a response from someone who actually stayed there and can give you FIRST-hand info.

What are you looking for in your hotel stay? It's cheap and it recently won "most Improved" from someone giving out awards. It's off the main street (hwy 50 or Lake Tahoe Blvd). South shore is full of cheap hotels Tradewinds is one of them.
