toursaver booklet

We are headed to Alaska 15th Aug from Europe. I am afraid that if I order it now it would not come in time over here before we leave ! I got information that we can buy it in Alaska at CARRS or SAFEWAY grocery stores, at customer service desk. Does anybody know the closest store near Anchorage airport for fast purchase after landing ? or would you try and order it by mail to Europe ? Then if it does not come on time could I send it back right packed as received and having full refund ?

I bought my toursaver book at a different Carrs across town, but here is the link on mapquest for a carrs closer to the airport. The link is very long, so if it doesn't work, you can go to www.mapquest.com to map out the airport. Then you have the option of finding grocery stores nearby. It's very simple to buy at the customer service desk, $99 USD. Enjoy your trip!

I ordered it after I was assured by them that in case it arrives after we have left, then, once back to Europe I will send it back for refund and I will get one locally in ANC upon arrival.

Now hope our dates and itinerary will match with the lodging and tours we are planning with these coupons. I have read that Holiday Inn in Seward wants the exact booklet number at time of reservation !! so I have to wait until I get the book !!!

ooops I forgot....

In general, except for Holiday Inn in Seward, do I have to mention that I hold these discount coupons at time of first reservation as they might have some kind of limitations or restrictions or just book tours and lodging and I show these coupons at time of money settlement ?? How does it work ?? First time for me.....

YES EVERY reservation you make must mention the coupon. There are restrictions and limitations in place by each vender. I have never found the lodging coupons a good deal, since they use the rack rates.

Good to know !!
However it is still worth as our plans to use them in 14 days are for:

Glacier Bay Cruise
NW Fjords cruise
Columbia Glacier cruises from Valdez
Homer Kachemak Bay Wildlife cruise
Talkeetna Airtaxi or Aeroservice for Mt. McKinley

...then we will see.. I do not want overplan !!

as regards lodging I have found out that they anyway charge rack rates in august !! those web rates were reconfirmed also via mail or brochures !
probably in shoulder season discounted rates can come close to the 2 x 1 discount but then coupons are mostly expired in september !
Denali Cedars Lodge + Seward Holiday Inn: I await their reply and statement to combine lodging dates with their respective shuttle bus and NW cruise. If not I will get other lodging. Denali park Hotel has vacancy around 28th !I have other suggestions from this forum on another post ! thank you all !!

You need to inquire your reservations NOW if the coupon will be accepted, for one thing, the flights probably will be the most limited. B&B's are always cheaper than the 2 for one coupons for me. And plenty of online reservations are not the full rack rates. I have gone every late August/Sept for several years, including this one.
