We are thinking of a day trip from Vegas to the Grand Canyon. Based on the fact that we both like to sleep on long drives, a rental car looks less appealing.

Any suggestions for a day trip bus/van/something else from Vegas to Grand Canyon in July?

Has anyone used a reputable company? Any suggestions of what to avoid?

I see some helicopter tours from Vegas to GC. Any thoughts? Looks awesome and so much better than 11 hours on a bus!

I was on a tour to the Canyon (with Cosmos tours) and the bravest in our group took the heli tour. You should've seen their faces when they came back! Lighted from the inside. They said it was absolutely worth it, and worth every penny spent.

It was a tour from a helipad near the Canyon, not from LA. But I think if you can do it, go for it, forget the bus.

It does sound like great fun! Now just to research all of the options. I think we've completely vetoed a bus trip in favor of the helicopter tour.
